Itinerary

1st Day Trogir (Embarkation) – Rogoznica
Individual arrival either by car to Trogir or by plane to Split. After checking in on the motor yacht between 2 and 2:30 pm in Trogir we head off on our first cruise at 3 pm to Rogoznica - a village on a small island that is connected to the mainland by a dam. Here we spend our first night.
2nd Day Vodice - Island of Murter - Nature Park Telašćica
(aprx. 17 mi./26 km)
In the morning we enjoy our breakfast during a morning cruise to the seaside city of Vodice. From here we start our bike tour to the island of Murter, connected to the mainland by a lift bridge in the town of Tisno. We cycle over the bridge and along the waterfront, passing by two old coastal villages, until we reach a small jetty. From here, we enjoy a spectacular cruise through the Kornati National Park, an archipelago in crystal clear water, known for its rich aquatic life, until we reach the Telašćica Nature Park. In the evening, we take a walk through the park and along the island’s stunning cliffs. A salt lake and a family of donkey also characterise the nature park and make for a wonderful location to spend a quiet night.
3rd Day Island of Dugi Otok – Zadar
(aprx. 19 mi./32 km)
After breakfast we start our bike tour from the Telašćica Nature Park, along a virtually traffic-free, panoramic road across the island. During the ride we’re treated to countless unforgettable views of neighbouring islands, breaking through the deep blue sea. We meet the ship in Brbinj and board for a crossing to the city of Zadar, which for centuries was the political, cultural, and spiritual centre of Dalmatia. Once we arrive, there is the opportunity to take part in a walking tour during which you will find out all about this fascinating city while strolling through the winding alleys and the lively old town, characterised by 3,000 years of history. The night is spent in Zadar.
4th Day Islands of Ugljan and Pašman – Vodice
(aprx. 20 mi./33 km)
During breakfast, the boat crosses the channel of Zadar to the island of Ugljan. Today there is plenty of time to cycle across and explore both the islands Ugljan and Pašman, connected by a bridge, with their quaint villages characterized by stone cottages and fishing vessels. As we cycle along the east coast, we can enjoy beautiful views of the sea and the mainland. After our bike tour, we revisit the coastal city of Vodice, this time for the night.
5th Day Vodice – Skradin - National Park of Krka
(aprx. 22 mi./35 km)
Today is a real highlight! Today’s cycling tour leads along varied roads through remote villages in the Dalmatian inland to the beautiful port of Skradin, located at the foot of the Krka Canyon. In the afternoon, we take a small boat to the Krka National Park where have plenty of time to explore the unique and truly spectacular Krka Waterfalls on foot. The night is spent in the postcard town of Skradin.
6th Day Skradin - Šibenik – Primošten
(aprx. 18 mi./28 km)
During breakfast the boat departs Skradin and makes its way down the Krka River back towards the sea and the city of Šibenik. Here we have time to explore the city, home to the Cathedral of St. Jacob, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the most beautiful sacral building on the Adriatic coast. Afterwards, we board the ship and navigate to Primošten where we undertake a bike tour in the afternoon to Rogoznica and back. The night is spent in Primošten.
7th Day Island of Šolta - Trogir (aprx. 9 mi./15 km)
In the morning, we cruise to the island of Šolta. Olive and fig trees as well as lush farmland border the streets. The spicy smell of rosemary follows us throughout the whole tour around the tranquil island until we reach the village Grohote. At mid-day, we enjoy our last cruise back to Trogir. Here we have enough time to visit the UNESCO World Heritage old town. Our last dinner gives us time to reminisce on the week that past and to say goodbye to fellow travellers, the crew, and tour guides.
8th Day Trogir (Disembarkation)
After breakfast disembarkation until 9 am followed by individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.

They are all air conditioned and include a private bathroom with a shower and WC.

The wood clad saloon emits a relaxing atmosphere which is carried throughout the boat with the many comfortable sitting areas on the ships decks. Sunning mats can be enjoyed on the sundeck. The professional crew…

Kapetan Jure (Comfort)

The Kapetan Jure is one of the smaller boats in our Croatian fleet. The hundreds of tours which she has operated for Islandhopping however, make her one of the most seasoned ships in our fleet. Built as a traditional wooden boat, the attention to detail and nautical flair on board are a declaration of the owner, Anton’s, passion for the sea.

The cozy saloon is decorated with shells, amphora and seamen’s knots and at the bow of the boat a mermaid insures safe passage. The Kapetan Jure offers comfortable cabins, four below deck and eleven above deck.

A spacious seating arrangement can be found…

Important information

Spoken language

Due to our international audience all Islandhopping tours are conducted bilingually, in English and German.

Itinerary changes

We reserve the right to make changes to the planned itinerary due to changing wind and weather conditions as well as organizational requirements. Should it be the case for example that the harbours on the above mentioned tour sequence are overcrowded, the tour will be operated in reverse.

Requirements

Level 1 - 2

The bike routes require a basic level of fitness, which you should have acquired by occasional or daily cycling. The routes can reach an altitude of 328 ft. to 985 ft/100 to 300 meters. The daily routes of 9 to 22 mi./15 to 35 km cover hilly terrain and can be completed without time constraints. You will also come across some rather steep climbs, where walking your bike is of course permitted. The roads are mostly asphalted and there is little traffic outside of holiday periods. This tour is primarily a guided group tour. Upon consultation with your tour guides, the possibility to cycle on your own along recommended, suitable routes, may present itself. You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend on board the boat, instead of taking a planned bicycle-tour.

Guided group pace

On our regular cycling tours the riding pace is determined by the cyclists on regular bicycles. We ask guests who have reserved an e-bike to be mindful of this and to acknowledge that also the regular cyclists need time to rest and longer to climb the hills. Thank you for your understanding.

Requirement to wear a helmet

Helmets are mandatory on our bike tours. It is advised to bring your own, well fitted, helmet with you as our rental helmet numbers are limited (reservation required).

Bringing children

We believe that only children with a good physical condition and previous bicycle tour experience and a minimum age of 10 are able to master the cycle tours with their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental e-bike is 1.50 m (4.9 ft.). Follow-me bikes, bike seats and bike Bungees can also be hired for accompanying children. Our sales experts are happy to provide you with more detailed information on request. It is mandatory for all participants on our tours to wear a bicycle helmet. When travelling with children, we recommend our Multi-Adventure Tours in Greece and Croatia which are specifically curated for families and offer family-friendly pricing.

Bringing private bikes & exclusion of private e-bikes

The tour which you have booked requires a bike with a fully functional set of gears. Islandhopping can offer you high quality, fully serviced rental bikes perfect for the terrain of this tour.

Should you however wish to bring your own hybrid bicycle with you, please make sure to check the condition of your breaks, gears, and tires and don’t forget to bring along a puncture repair kit and the essential spare parts for your bike (e.g. brake pads and spare tubes). Your bike should be in prefect mechanical working order.

We do not allow private e-bikes on board of our boats. This decision has been made due to health and safety regulations. If you wish to ride an e-bike for the duration of your tour, please get in touch with us about the rental options.

We do not recommend bringing along private road bikes, as the thin tires are not suitable for some of the road surfaces encountered on the tours.

Liability disclaimer: Radurlaub Zeitreisen GmbH. Will not be held liable for any damages caused to private bikes during loading, unloading or other logistical handling thereof.

Noise on board

Please do not forget that the ship is your hotel as well as a machine, which has to be maintained and operated – day and night. A certain level of noise is therefore inevitable.

Travel recommendation for groups with varying biking interests (MTB & hybrid cycling)

This tour sometimes takes place parallel to our "MTB & Boat National Parks tour on the same boat. One tour guide accompanies the mountain bikers whilst the other accompanies the hybrid cyclists. This is perfect for travellers who wish to spend their holiday together, but do not share the same riding style.

Catering

The on-board chef is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and one or two warm meals a day. The catering consists of 2 x full board and 5 x half board. Catering starts with the dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.
