Children’s Bikes & Extras Our Islandhopping children’s bicycles are built with the needs of our youngest Islandhopper’s in mind. For children from 120 cm – 145 cm we have 20’’ and 24’’ hybrid bikes. Smaller children who are already too big for a bike seat but who are not quite strong enough to cycle alone can cycle with their parents on a trailer bike. These are suitable for girls and boys from a height of approx. 1.00 m. Two varying frames sizes are available: One for children 120 – 130 cm in height and the other for children 130 – 145 cm. A high-quality gear system provides a great riding experience over varying terrain, and the strong Shimano v-brakes ensure safe speed control throughout the ride. A sturdy bike stand and puncture-proof touring tires complete the package. The trailer bike is suitable for children up to 30 kg. A simple seat post attachment allows parents to take turns pulling their little heroes during the tour. A child-friendly 6-speed gear system allows the child to keep up their cadence in varying terrain. The height of the handlebars and seat can be adjusted to suit the little cyclist. Suitable for children between 1 (provided that the child can already sit independently) and 4 years old (weight: 9 – 22 kg). A sturdy frame attachment ensures easy installation and utmost safety, leaving room for a pannier rack. An extra-large spoke guard ensures a safe ride while the 9-level adjustable headrest along with the adjustable backrest allows for a comfortable seat set up.
